First let me start by saying Welcome to my spot. I'm so happy to have finally gotten the ball rolling with my blog. I have been saying that I'm going to get this thing going for the last year. Well that's water under the bridge now cause we here now.(insert dance emoji)

My name is April Ford, just a little oh country girl from the great state of MS. The statement "She believed she could so she did", definitely sums my story up. There is no rags to riches story to my life but there is definitely a story. Let's see where do I begin. First off let's start with how I got to my senior year in high school 4 month's to graduation, and my guidance counselor informed me my entire 10th

grade records were missing. Well of course there was no back up records in the system, which would leave me stuck with having to complete 10th grade all over again. Nope, not me. I was the rebel that decided to call it quits and get my GED. Yes, I got a GED.

I tried community college for awhile but wanted something different. How could I change my current situation? I had already tried to move to another state and it didn't work, so I wasn't trying that again. Well I woke up with the crazy idea to join the ARMY. Linked up with a recruiter, took the ASVAB and to BASIC TRAINING I went. ARMY life was now my new normal. Training was a breeze and my soul was finally at peace.

My ARMY career was satisfying and pretty rewarding. I met some great people that has now become family as well as my soul mate. Everyday and encounter was not peaches and cream but worth the end result. My life isn't perfect but it's the best for me. I'm now a Veteran/ARMY WIFE, SAHM, College Graduate and Business OWNER. Yes, the high school drop out did pretty good for herself.
